Mom and Step Dad kill 7-yr old

Really?? Man wtf is going on with people killing these kids for nothing these days. Supposedly Roderick Arrington (pictured) was beaten to death by his mother and step-father because he didn't read the bible and finish his homework.

This story is so damn sad, especially due to the fact that up until recently this little boy was living with his father and grandmother. I just don't get why parents keep kids knowing good and well they don't have the patience or common sense to raise them properly. The step father claims that he was "simply" punishing the child, but that things escalated when the child ran to him with his fist balled up.
